How much does a lesson cost?

Katie was raised by two public school educators who spoke about education policy and empathy at the dinner table. Since then, she’s tried to live a life full of curiosity, learning, and sharing what she’s learned. Katie teaches private voice lessons and masterclass instruction at Universities and Performing Arts Academies throughout North America. She is currently on faculty at The Penn State School of Theater and Long Island University Post as an adjunct voice professor.

Katie is an active performer, who was inspired to continue her education after a vocal injury, surgery and ten weeks of life changing speech language pathology work while playing Christine Daae in Phantom. She now holds her M.F.A. in Musical Theater Voice Pedagogy from Penn State University, has a certificate in Vocology from Lamar University and is currently getting her MA in Speech Language Pathology at Long Island University. Katie teaches a group singing class for dancers in NYC, where she has found a passion in working on vocal technique with professional dancers. In addition, Katie has a full private voice studio in NYC and virtually, where she works with singers of all ages who are thriving on Broadway, National Tours, Cruise Ships, Regional Theatre, and folks who simply find joy in singing.

Katie is passionate about using her experiences, both with voice injury and in undergoing a double mastectomy (and how breast surgeries impact the voice) to educate others. She has presented and/or moderated panels on at MTEA, PAVA and NATS, and remains an active member of each organizaion.

Most proudly, Katie is a co-founder of SPARK, an arts scholarship organization for BIPOC students in Mid-Michigan.
